A lithium battery is no use if you can’t find a place to put it. The Lumeno Slimline is a flat slab, 670 x 430 mm and only 52 to 80 mm thick, so it goes under a bed base, a bench seat or onto a shallow cupboard floor. All three capacities share the same footprint, which means you choose on how much power you need, not on how much space you have.
It’s a 12.8V LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery with a built-in battery management system you can read over Bluetooth, an on/off button and a 3 year warranty. Cycle life is rated at 4000 to 6000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge.
Choose your size
- 100Ah (1280Wh): about 1000Wh usable. A good second battery, or the main one for a weekender with a fridge, lights and phone charging. 52 mm thick.
- 200Ah (2560Wh): about 2000Wh usable. Roughly three to four days of fridge and lights without a hook-up, and longer if you have solar. 65 mm thick, 26 kg.
- 314Ah (4019Wh): about 3200Wh usable and a 250A discharge rating, for longer stays off-grid or when you want to run an inverter. 80 mm thick.
Those run times are a rough guide. A 12V compressor fridge typically uses somewhere around 400 to 600Wh a day, and that moves with the fridge and the weather. If you add up your own appliances and want a second opinion, mail us.
What you get
- Built-in BMS with Bluetooth: voltage, current, temperature and cell balancing, with an app for iOS and Android
- On/off button on the battery
- 50A square connectors: one on the 100Ah, two on the 200Ah and 314Ah
- The 100Ah and 314Ah also include a set of M8 terminals, an LCD display, and list Victron comms
- Up to four batteries together (parallel on the 200Ah; series or parallel on the 100Ah and 314Ah)
- Cold rolled steel case (IP24 rating listed for the 200Ah)
Matching your setup with the right lead? See the communication cable, or the compact 150Ah if you have a box-shaped space instead of a flat one.

Charging and temperature
Lithium needs a charger or DC-DC charger with a lithium (LiFePO4) profile. The charge cut-off is 14.6V and the standard charge current is 20 to 50A. The one that catches people out is cold: the battery charges between 0°C and +45°C, so a frosty Highveld morning is fine to run it, but not to charge it. It will discharge from -20°C to +60°C. For long storage, keep it between 0°C and 35°C.

How the range compares
| Battery | Energy | Max discharge | Cycle life | Size (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100Ah Slimline | 1280Wh | 100A | 4000 | 670 x 430 x 52 |
| 150Ah | 1920Wh | 150A | 4000 | 307 x 169 x 208 |
| 200Ah Slimline | 2560Wh | 200A | 4000 to 6000 | 670 x 430 x 65 |
| 314Ah Slimline | 4019Wh | 250A | 6000 | 670 x 430 x 80 |
Lumeno rates all of them at 80% depth of discharge, so the usable energy is roughly 80% of the Wh figure.
Questions we get asked
Can I put this in a caravan or camper?
Yes. It’s a 12V battery, so it replaces a lead-acid or AGM house battery. Check your charger and solar controller have a lithium setting first.
Can I run more than one?
Up to four, according to Lumeno. The 200Ah is rated for four in parallel. The 100Ah and 314Ah can go in series or parallel.
How long will it last?
Lumeno rates the 100Ah at 4000 cycles, the 200Ah at 4000 to 6000 and the 314Ah at 6000, all at 80% depth of discharge, with a 3 year warranty.
