The Slimline batteries need a flat space. If what you have is a box-shaped gap, a front locker, a boot corner or a battery tray, the Lumeno 150Ah is the one to look at. It measures 307 x 169 x 208 mm and weighs 14 kg, and it holds 1920Wh at 12.8V.
It’s a LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery rated for 150A continuous discharge and 4000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, with an LCD display on the case and a 3 year warranty from Lumeno.
What it suits
About 1500Wh of usable energy covers a fridge, lights and phone charging for a few days, and longer with a solar panel on the roof. It’s also a sensible size for a 4×4 drawer system or a boat. As a rough guide, a 12V compressor fridge typically uses somewhere around 400 to 600Wh a day, depending on the fridge and the weather.
Want to compare sizes? The Slimline range goes from 100Ah to 314Ah in one flat footprint.

Charging and temperature
Lithium needs a charger or DC-DC charger with a lithium (LiFePO4) profile. The charge cut-off is 14.6V and the standard charge current is 20 to 50A. The one that catches people out is cold: the battery charges between 0°C and +45°C, so a frosty Highveld morning is fine to run it, but not to charge it. It will discharge from -20°C to +60°C. For long storage, keep it between 0°C and 35°C.

How the range compares
| Battery | Energy | Max discharge | Cycle life | Size (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100Ah Slimline | 1280Wh | 100A | 4000 | 670 x 430 x 52 |
| 150Ah | 1920Wh | 150A | 4000 | 307 x 169 x 208 |
| 200Ah Slimline | 2560Wh | 200A | 4000 to 6000 | 670 x 430 x 65 |
| 314Ah Slimline | 4019Wh | 250A | 6000 | 670 x 430 x 80 |
Lumeno rates all of them at 80% depth of discharge, so the usable energy is roughly 80% of the Wh figure.
Questions we get asked
Can I replace my lead-acid caravan battery with this?
It’s a 12V battery, so yes, as long as your charger and solar controller have a lithium (LiFePO4) profile. Check the case size against your battery tray first.
Does it have Bluetooth?
The spec sheet for this model lists an LCD display. The Slimline batteries are the ones with Bluetooth. Mail us if that matters to you.
